COVID-19 UPDATE: Please note, we are currently closed due to Coronavirus but will reopen as soon as we are allowed, hopefully in time for the summer so we can host you for a much needed holiday! Once we do re-open we will of course ensure that the gites and all public areas are cleaned and maintained in accordance with all COVID health and safety requirements when they are determined. If you are interested in booking for the summer then we are taking bookings now and will hold off taking any deposit or payment for now and won't charge any cancellation fees so you can book in the knowledge that if you do have to unfortunately cancel or postpone, then you won't lose any money. We are also still taking wedding bookings so if you are interested in getting married at Le Moulin, please do get in touch and we would be delighted to have a video call to chat through your requirements and give you a virtual tour!
Welcome to Le Moulin de Chazotte
Translated as the Mill of Chazotte (the river on which we are based), we are a 15th century French watermill offering beautiful, family friendly self catering holiday accommodation.
Our four exclusive gites are brimming with charm and character whilst offering all the modern comforts and facilities to ensure you have a relaxing and rewarding holiday. The gites vary in size, from La Principale (the main house) which sleeps up to 7 people - perfect for families. Or for a couple looking for a more romantic, private stay, Le Chai, which is a cosy one bedroom hideaway. All gites have their own private terrace but also offer access to 12 acres of grounds and facilities, including the large heated swimming pool and a variety of outdoor activities and games.
Located in blissful rural tranquility within the Poitou-Charente region on the French Atlantic coast, only 10 minutes away from historic Cognac and a short drive to the nearest village with that all important local boulangerie. This picturesque region is steeped in Roman and Medieval history and is known for its sleepy villages, Romanesque churches, heritage towns, as well as for the famous and delicious Cognac drink of course.
For more information on the gites, rates and surrounding area, please visit the different sections of this website. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0033 (0)5 45 32 15 95.
