How far is the nearest shop / restaurant?

The nearest village, Cherves-Richemont, is just a short drive/walk away (3 km) and offers a local bakers, mini supermarket, post office, pharmacy, tabac and even a small restaurant and pizza takeaway. A little further afield (7km / 10 mins drive) is the historic town of Cognac with it's larger shops, services, restaurants and of course the famous Cognac Houses. More information about the surrounding area can be found here and if you would like any recommendations then please just ask.

Yes, we have WIFI throughout the mill although as we are in rural France, it can be somewhat patchy at times.

Do you have a swimming pool?

Yes we have a fabulous large (12m x 6m) pool. The pool also has a large terrace area with loungers and shade and a fully equipped pool house with toilets. It has both a shallow and deep end and steps down to access. The pool area is fenced for safety and completely private and secluded with views out over the vines and woodland.

Is there a barbecue?

Do you provide bed linen and towels?

Of course! All gites come fully equipped with bedding, bath towels, tea towels etc. You will also have your own washing machine should you wish to clean these mid-week, as well as iron and ironing board. During the peak season, we apologise but no pets are allowed. We will consider guests bringing pets out of peak season and on an exceptions basis. Please contact us to find out more. We do also have two dogs that live onsite at the Mill - an overly friendly black labrador named Rémy and a rascal of a terrier called Martell. We also have a handful of free range chickens, a goat and a little black cat. They are all very friendly and can't wait to keep you and/or your children entertained!
